Will the magnets damage my headphones?
Beacon 01’s 100 g permanent magnet sits at the top of the headband and works with the electromagnetic control module inside the top of the stand; neither component rests against the earcups during normal use. In nearly six months of personal use, founder Gene has not observed visible damage or performance issues in the headphones he has used with Beacon 01. Because headphone designs and electronics vary, this is a real-use observation—not a guarantee for every model. If you are unsure about an unusual design, contact Dockix before use.
How does the levitation work?
Beacon 01 uses electromagnetic levitation. Inside the stand, an electromagnetic control module works with a 100 g permanent magnet to lift and suspend your headphones. Its lifting capacity is continuously adjustable from 200 g to 1 kg to accommodate different headphone weights.
Can I cancel before dispatch?
You may request cancellation before the unit is handed to the carrier. An eligible cancellation is refunded in full to the original payment method.
Who pays import duties and taxes?
Dockix covers import duties, import taxes, and customs clearance charges. If we or our shipping partner cannot pay them directly, we will agree on an arrangement with you first: with your consent, you can advance the charges and we will reimburse you. Contact support@dockix.cn before paying an unexpected import charge.
What are the return and warranty basics?
There is a 30-day return request window after carrier-confirmed delivery and a one-year limited warranty, each subject to the published policy.
Is Beacon 01 compatible with every pair of headphones?
Beacon 01 supports headphones weighing 200 g–1 kg. Fit and rotation also depend on the headphone design.
Some headphone designs may levitate but not rotate freely—for example, headphones with uneven weight distribution, a wide rotation radius, or a long, rigid microphone.
Wired headphones can be displayed using the Dockix universal cradle, but placing and removing them is less convenient.
